Troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) North East, Operation HADIN KAI, have intercepted a major cache of logistics supplies intended for terrorists in Yobe State.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer for OPHK, the operation took place on September 16, 2025, during snap checks along the Nguru–Gashua road. Troops stopped a red 14-tyre trailer carrying suspicious consignments.
Upon inspection, soldiers discovered 700 bags of NPK 20:10:10 fertilizer — a key material for making IEDs — along with 27 cartons of assorted drugs and nine cartons of saline solution, all hidden beneath bundles of fabric. The consignment was reportedly headed for Niger Republic, indicating cross-border terrorist supply networks.
Earlier that same day, troops had intercepted two Sharon vehicles and another trailer carrying fabrics and solar panels believed to be intended for producing terrorist uniforms.
All drivers, motor boys, and seized items are in custody as investigations continue. The Theatre Command commended the troops’ efforts and assured the public of its commitment to disrupting terrorist supply chains. Citizens were urged to continue sharing timely intelligence with security forces.
