Singer Tiwa Savage has revealed that she was once in a relationship with a fellow celebrity who insisted on keeping their romance private.

Speaking on the Joe Budden Podcast, Tiwa explained that her partner would deliberately talk to other people whenever they were seen together in public to avoid suspicion.

“He told me he didn’t want us to go public. He said, ‘When we’re out, I might be talking to other people, but I’m only doing it so people don’t suspect.’ And I was like, okay, but how far are you going with this?” she recounted.

The singer admitted that while she initially tried to understand, she eventually found the situation “disrespectful” and emotionally exhausting.

“He had it good. We might be at the same event, and he’s probably talking, laughing, even touching other ladies while still looking at me like, ‘Don’t worry, I’m just doing it.’ And I couldn’t say anything,” she said.

Tiwa also recalled that in December, she revealed every man she ever dated had cheated on her — though cheating was never the reason she left.
