Nigerian singer Jaywon has raised concerns over the worsening insecurity in his home state following a deadly attack on police officers.

On Wednesday, September 10, three officers were reportedly maimed by unknown gunmen at a checkpoint in Egbe, a community near the Kwara State border.

The following day, September 11, youths in the community staged a protest to demand action over the recurring attacks by gunmen.

Taking to social media, Jaywon called out the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Nigeria Police Force for their silence despite the killing of the officers, urging authorities to take immediate steps to protect citizens.
