Portable Calls Out VeryDarkMan Over Mohbad, Iyabo Ojo Controversy

Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has lashed out at self-styled activist Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan (VDM), accusing him of manipulating Nigerians with the case of late singer Mohbad.

Mohbad, who died in September 2023 under controversial circumstances, sparked nationwide protests and demands for justice. VeryDarkMan was one of the loudest voices in the campaign, but his recent clashes with actress Iyabo Ojo have stirred new controversy.

In a new video, Portable described VDM as a “manipulator”, urging him to stop deceiving Nigerians and allow Mohbad to rest in peace.

“VeryDarkMan, you came out deceiving Nigerians that you want justice for Mohbad. You’re a manipulator. Now, you’re dragging Iyabo Ojo. What’s really her offense? You claimed you want justice for Mohbad, so why are you now going against Mohbad?” Portable said.

He further accused VDM of making a U-turn after initially alleging that Mohbad was killed by certain individuals.

“Leave Mohbad and let him rest in peace. Why are you dragging the dead? Are you the one who will tell Nigerians who is good or not? We know who bullied Mohbad. Stop deceiving Nigerians,” he added.

The outspoken singer stressed that VDM’s constant attacks on Iyabo Ojo were distracting from the #JusticeForMohbad campaign, which should remain the focus.
