Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is set to remain sidelined after sustaining an ankle injury during Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Rwanda two weeks ago.
Despite leaving the Super Eagles camp early for treatment, the 26-year-old has missed Galatasaray’s last two matches — a league game against Eyupspor and the 5-1 Champions League defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.
What initially seemed like a minor knock has turned out to be more serious, with Turkish outlet Fanatik (via Hurriyet) reporting that Osimhen will miss Galatasaray’s upcoming clashes with Konyaspor and Alanyaspor.
He is, however, expected to return on September 30 for Galatasaray’s crucial Champions League match against Liverpool at Rams Park.
