Bandits ambushed NSCDC personnel in Katsina State, Nigeria, on Friday, September 12, 2025, resulting in one officer killed and four others injured. The attack took place around 5 p.m. at Dafa village along the Yantumaki–Danmusa road in Danmusa Local Government Area. The victims were NSCDC operatives attached to Operation Sharan Daji, who were traveling when the bandits struck. The deceased was identified as CCA Adamu Abdullah, aged 37. The injured officers were DSC Abdullah Usman (40), ASC Dikko Sabiu (42), ASC Haruna Bello (35), and CCA Kabir Dalhatu (29).
Their Hilux vehicle was recovered, and the injured were evacuated to Dutsinma General Hospital for treatment. Security teams from Danmusa responded promptly to the scene.This incident aligns with broader reports of troops responding to the ambush near Danmusa Forest, as part of ongoing operations against banditry in the region.
