Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has candidly revealed why she chose to undergo body enhancement surgery, explaining that the decision was tied to her mental health and struggles with body image after childbirth.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, the mother of three admitted that while she had always been naturally busty, her figure changed after having children, affecting her self-confidence. Following the birth of her third child, she said she felt unhappy with her appearance and decided to take action.
“I didn’t have an hourglass shape. Starting to have babies didn’t help matters for me. I didn’t like what I saw when I looked at myself after my third child. I felt I owed it to myself to be happy and confident,” Ogbodo explained.
She emphasized that the surgery was not for anyone else but strictly for her own mental and emotional well-being, noting: “I am enough competition for myself.”
Ogbodo also stressed the importance of transparency among celebrities, criticizing those who undergo procedures but mislead fans. She believes sharing her journey can inspire other women struggling with self-esteem.
Her openness, she said, is part of her mission to encourage women to embrace honesty, confidence, and self-love.
