Singer Korede Bello has shared a profound reflection with his fans on what truly matters in life.
In a new video for his *Wellness Wednesday* series, the “Godwin” crooner explained that people often pray for a long life, but the real priority should be living well and making a meaningful impact. According to him, the universe—or God—doesn’t necessarily measure the worth of our years by their number, but by the value we add while we’re here.
“It’s not enough to live long,” Korede said. “What matters is you live well. The cells in our bodies, the neurons in our brains, the organs — everything is keeping us alive long enough for us to do something good, to contribute to the ecosystem of life.”
He reminded fans that some of history’s greatest figures didn’t live long, yet their contributions shaped the world. He cited Alexander the Great, who died at 32 after conquering much of the known world, and noted how Jesus’ impact continues to resonate centuries later despite his brief life on earth.
Korede encouraged people to see wellness not just as an end goal, but as a tool to stay alive long enough to give back.
“Be well so that you can be alive and do that thing you’re here to do. Leave the room better than you met it,” he said.
He concluded his heartfelt message by urging fans to share their gifts, no matter how small, reminding them that true greatness is measured by contribution, not mere survival.
