Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited has suspended self-collection gantry sales of petroleum products from Thursday, September 18, 2025.
In a notice to marketing partners, the company said the move aims to encourage adoption of its Free Delivery Scheme and stop sales to unregistered marketers. It directed that all payments for self-collection be put on hold, warning that any made after the effective date will be rejected.
Dangote assured that the Free Delivery Scheme remains open to active and new customers and apologised for any inconvenience, describing the move as an operational adjustment to improve efficiency.
The decision comes amid a dispute with NUPENG and DAPPMAN over the free delivery policy and unionisation of truck drivers, raising concerns about pricing, labour rights, and competition in the downstream sector.
