, Air Peace, Nigeria’s largest airline, announced the creation of 1,000 new jobs for fresh graduates through its 2025/2026 Graduate Trainee Programme. This was revealed on September 17, 2025, as a response to the federal government’s suspension of the 4% Free on Board (FOB) levy on imports, which the airline described as a “lifeline” to prevent job losses in the aviation sector. The programme aims to equip young Nigerians with skills, mentorship, and exposure in aviation and related industries, while building a pipeline of professionals for the sector’s growth. Chairman Allen Onyema stated that this initiative reciprocates the government’s support and could lead to thousands more jobs if similar policies continue.
