Nollywood actor “Charles Ugochukwu” has taken a swipe at some churches in Lagos over what he described as the unfair practice of reserving prime seats for latecomers.
The actor questioned why punctual members who arrive early are often pushed to the back, while those who stroll in long after service has started are ushered to the front rows.
According to him, the trend sends the wrong message and discourages people who make the effort to arrive on time.
“You say service starts at 9am, but you reserve the first three rows of seats for people who stroll into church at 10:30am. Meanwhile, those who showed up at 8:30am (thirty minutes before service time) are made to sit behind. Please make it make sense,” he lamented.
