Tragedy struck on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as an explosion rocked the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) factory in Kaduna, leaving one person dead and several others injured.
The loud blast was reportedly heard across parts of Kaduna metropolis and surrounding areas, sparking panic among residents.
According to eyewitness accounts, the injured victims were quickly rushed to nearby hospitals, including the Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna, for treatment.
