Nigerian troops from the Joint Task Force (JTF) North East, operating under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), successfully intercepted a significant consignment of logistics supplies in Yobe State. The operation, conducted as part of Operation Desert Sanity IV, took place along the Nguru–Gashua road following credible intelligence. The intercepted materials, believed to be destined for terrorist groups such as Boko Haram or ISWAP, were concealed in a red 14-tyre trailer, highlighting the sophisticated methods used to smuggle supplies to insurgents in the region. The seized items included 700 bags of NPK 20:10:10 fertilizer, a material commonly used by terrorists to manufacture improvised explosive devices (IEDs), posing a direct threat to security.
Additionally, the consignment contained 27 cartons of assorted pharmaceuticals and drugs, as well as nine cartons of normal saline solution, likely intended to sustain terrorist fighters in remote areas. Earlier that day, at around 10:30 a.m., the troops also intercepted two Sharon vehicles and another trailer carrying large quantities of fabrics, meant for sewing terrorist uniforms, and solar panels, further disrupting the supply chain.
