Popular social media influencers Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Tomike Adeoye on Friday joined thousands of Nigerians at the Eko Hotel and Suites to cheer on celebrity chef Hilda Baci as she attempted to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice.
The event, tagged the “Gino Jollof Festival”, is being held in partnership with the culinary brand and features a giant pot measuring six metres wide and six metres tall. Into this pot, Baci and her team are cooking 250 bags of rice to serve tens of thousands of attendees.
Baci, who became a household name after breaking the world record for the longest cooking marathon in 2023, is once again making history with this food challenge.
Enioluwa, who also supported her during the 2023 cook-a-thon, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, praising Baci’s resilience and determination:
“There’s truly nothing you set your mind to that you don’t achieve. You’re such a go-getter, an incredible friend, and I’m so proud of you.”
Tomike, who revealed she was anchoring the festival, also described the attempt as “greatness happening in our generation.”
